Tura, Dec 13: As the date for Christmas draws near, the town of Tura is warming up to the festivities to usher in grand Christmas celebrations. To inspire the young and the old ones with the essence of Christmas, the World of Christ Ministries is hosting a Christian Books Fair at Tura Supermarket.

The fair started on December 11 and will continue till December 16, 2023, from 9 AM to 6 PM.

The fair consists mostly of Bibles books, study Bibles, books for kids, Journals, calendars and gift items.

Speaking to Hub News, Afrildha A. Sangma, in-charge of the book fair, Said, “We are not only displaying these books, we are selling them and other products such as gift items, key chains etc.”

With many not visiting the Tura Book Room, the organizers have decided to display the books outside to attracts people.

In a similar spirit, the Tura Supermarket has also gotten a festive makeover. A Christmas tree stands prominently in the heart of the store, adorned with sparkling lights and stars that suspend from the ceiling. The enchanting display is captivating both the shoppers and onlookers alike. Many pause to take selfies by the Christmas tree, creating cherished moments with their loved ones.
