TURA, June 15: Tura police on Thursday evening arrested one employee of the Meghalaya Board of School Education for suspected drug supply and also seized several strips of capsules from his possession during a raid on his premises on Thursday evening.
Teams from the Anti Narcotic Task Force conducted an operation at Daldagre locality of Tura and arrested Omarius D. Sangma (36), who is presently working in MBOSE as a Peon.
From his house they recovered 30 Strips of Pyeevon Spas Plus capsules, totalling 719 capsules.
Police say that the accused is a prime suspect in drug peddling in Tura town area and a case has been registered while investigations continue.
