Aizawl, April 29: Mizoram Police on Tuesday seized 47.511 kilograms of methamphetamine from the Zemabawk locality in Aizawl, with an estimated market value of ₹6.176 crore.
The operation was carried out by the CID (SB) branch, which arrested two men from Champhai town in connection with the drug haul.
Two vehicles suspected to have been used for transporting the drugs — a KIA Seltos (Registration No. MZ 01 AD 6157) and a KIA Sonet (Registration No. MZ 01 AC 3237) — were also seized.
A case has been registered at the Special Narcotic Police Station under relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (ND&PS) Act.
