Guwahati, May 7: In a mysterious condition, two dead bodies of teenager were found in a pond at Brahmajan village in Assam’s Tinsukia district on Tuesday.
According to reports, both of them were from Khatangpani tea estate of Tinsukia and were around 16 years of old , they had left their homes for an outing on May 4 and were mising since then.
The villagers on Tuesday found both the bodies floating in the pond. They informed the police about the incident.
The bodies were retrieved from the pond with the help of the police.
“The cause of death remains unknown but we suspect that they may have drowned while attempting to swim in the pond. We have sent the bodies for postmortem,” said a police official.
