Shillong, Feb 6: Two drug smugglers were arrested along with 55.60 grams of heroin from View Point, Mawiong and Mawiong Umjapung on Monday.

From their possession, four soap cases containing heroin weighing 55.35 grams, two vials containing heroin of 0.25 grams, two mobile phones, one empty vial, one syringe and cash Rs 63,150 were recovered, police said.

A Chevrolet Beat (ML 05 J 5387) was also seized.

A NDPS case has been registered against the accused persons and further investigation is on.
