Guwahati, April 12: In a thrilling moment for Assam’s rising music talent, two young electronic music producers from the state—Aditya Upadhyaya of Kumarikata and Dibyajit Ray of Bongaigaon—have secured their place in the top 10 finalists of Resonate: The EDM Challenge, part of the Government of India’s flagship Create in India initiative under the upcoming World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES) 2025.
Selected from hundreds of entries across the country, Aditya and Dibyajit are now set to showcase their sounds on a global stage during the summit in Mumbai from May 1–4.

The duo will perform live at the WAVES 2025 finale alongside eight other finalists from cities like Mumbai, Pune, and Delhi. Organized by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting in collaboration with the Indian Music Industry (IMI), Resonate aims to elevate Indian electronic music talent to international recognition. The preliminary selection was conducted by professionals from Lost Stories Academy, one of India’s top DJ and music production schools.
The WAVES summit itself is poised to be a landmark gathering of the global media and entertainment industry, with a strong focus on content creation, music innovation, gaming, and immersive technologies.
