Two killed in road accident in Tinsukia

Dibrugarh, April 8: Two people were killed after being run over by a dumper in eastern Assam’s Tinsukia on Tuesday morning.

According to reports, the incident took place near Gargo Motors in Tinsukia at around 8 am.

The deceased were riding a motorcycle when a speeding dumper ran over them.

AdvertisementThe motorcycle was registered in the name of Ramesh Ojha.

Meanwhile, police reached the accident spot and started an investigation.

“Two persons were killed on the spot after they were run over by a speeding vehicle. The accident happened near Gargo Motors at around 8 am. We have started an investigation into the matter and are collecting CCTV footage,” said a police official.

He added, “Most accidents occur due to overspeeding. We suspect that a dumper ran over them. The identity of the victims is not yet known. However, from the vehicle’s registration, we found that it was registered under Ramesh Ojha’s name.”

Eyewitnesses said the two victims were killed on the spot after being run over by a speeding vehicle.
