New Delhi, June 9: As Narendra Modi prepares to take the oath of office as Prime Minister, speculation is rife regarding the composition of his new cabinet.
If only ministerial berths for the northeastern states were to be discussed, then this time, only three berths would be allocated, which is nearly half of what used to be in Modi 2.0.
As per reports, Lok Sabha MP from Dibrugarh, Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal, Rajya Sabha MP, and Media advisor to Assam Chief Minister, Pabitra Margherita, are confirmed to get ministerial berths.
Additionally, Kiren Rijiju, Lok Sabha MP from Arunachal Pradesh West, is also likely to be included in the new cabinet, as per reports.
All three ministers would attend the high tea at Narendra Modi’s residence ahead of the formation of the government, which is scheduled for Sunday evening.
