Shillong, Dec 9: The District Election Committee of the United Democratic Party (UDP) has cleared the names of candidates as per recommendations of four District Council Circles for the upcoming KHADC elections.
These include sitting MDC Mitchel Wankhar from Laban – Mawprem, former MDC James Ban Basaiawmoit from Mawkhar – Pynthorumkhrah, Auguster Jyrwa from Jaiaw, and Desmond KL Mawlong from Nongthymmai.
“The same will be forwarded to the State Election Committee,” UDP Shillong City secretary Allantry F Dkhar said on Sunday.
