SHILLONG, MAY 12: The United Democratic Party is yet to decide on its candidate for the upcoming Shillong Lok Sabha by-election, party legislator from Khliehriat Kyrmen Shylla said on Monday.
“As of now, we have not decided yet. The party will discuss this soon,” Shylla told reporters.
His comments come as other political parties have begun announcing their candidates for the bypoll.

The ruling National People’s Party has named Khasi Authors’ Society president Dr DRL Nonglait as its official candidate, while the opposition Voice of the People Party has declared Prof Batskhem Myrboh as its nominee.
The BJP and Congress are yet to finalise their candidates for the Shillong parliamentary seat.
