Shillong, April 25: Education Minister Rakkam A Sangma on Friday termed the incident of assault on an assistant professor of the North Eastern Hill University (NEHU) as ‘unfortunate’. He assured that law will take its own course.
“It is very unfortunate as it is happening especially in the campus of such a premiere institute. So law will take its own course,” Sangma told reporters.
“I have talked to the SP. They are taking necessary measures to provide security. Our police force is taking action,” he said.
According to him, such incidents should not be allowed to reoccur in NEHU.
