Tinsukia, Apr 9: Union Home Minister Amit Shah accompanied by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday participated in a road show in Tinsukia to garner support for Union minister Sarbananda Sonowal, who is contesting from Dibrugarh Lok Sabha seat.
Over thousands of people participated in the road show Amit Shah and Himanta Biswa Sarma were seen standing in a vehicle which was decorated with flowers. Shah waved his hands to the people and urged them to vote for BJP.
Union minister Sarbananda Sonowal was not present during the road show in Tinsukia owing to his campaigns in other areas.
Union home minister Amit Shah also participated in an election rally at Lakhimpur on Tuesday afternoon for garnering support for Lakhimpur Lok Sabha candidate Pradhan Baruah.
