Guwahati, April 30: Union home minister Amit Shah on Tuesday said that they are walking towards 400 paar in the Lok Sabha elections.

Addressing a press conference in Guwahati, Amit Shah said, “two phases of Lok Sabha elections are over, and our internal assessment says that we are winning over 100 seats. We are walking towards 400 paar and in Assam, Bengal, Uttarakhand, and Rajasthan we have done well. In Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala elections are over and initial trends suggest in Southern India we are doing well,”.

He stated, “in Assam we are not doing any appeasement politics, but we are sure we will win 12 of the 14 seats. We are not asking for votes in the name of Ram, we are just saying that in our time Ram Mandir was made and they boycotted the Ram,”.

He alleged that the opposition is misinterpreting information, “for the past few days Congress has started to twist our 400 paar aim. They are doing a misinformation campaign that we will change the Constitution and abolish reservation. These allegations are totally baseless. For the past ten years we got full majority, we used it to do only good things, we ended 370 triple talaq, and fought against Covid and established Ram Mandir,” Amit Shah stated.

He further added, “Congress spreading lies to confuse people and I want to assure people that BJP supports reservations for ST, SC and OBC. If any political party had done an attack on reservations, it was congress. First, they made reservations for Muslims in Andhra Pradesh and then in Karnataka. We believe reservation cannot be based on religion,”.

Taking a dig at the fake video circulated he stated that, “Congress’s disappointment has gone to such an extent that they made a fake video, and their top leaders circulated it. We had the original video and now their leaders will have to face criminal offence. Ever since Rahul Gandhi has led Congress their standard of politics only deteriorated. We condemned this fake video campaign. Congress is desperate to win and in that they have lost the basic logic and humanity, even for contracts they want to bring religion, I want to ask Congress do you have any reservation for minorities for your president post?” Shah questioned.

He said, “I don’t know who will contest Amethi seat. Congress, but they have kept so much confusion, this shows they don’t have confidence and I think they won’t contest, they will run away,”.

“In the Constituent Assembly it was decided whenever possible UCC should be brought, but congress actually has gone against the spirit of the Constitution and promised Muslim personal law. The statement on Ravanna is very serious, we cannot tolerate it, it is against women spirit, but we want to ask Congress, they have their government there, why their government has not acted as of now,” Shah questioned the opposition .

He added, “Priyanka Gandhi should ask their Chief minister and Deputy Chief minister. We want a probe on this issue and JDS has a vote committee meeting and they will take a step. BJP cannot tolerate this,”.
