Dudhnoi, April 8: A vehicle caught fire in Dudhnoi on Friday, causing panic among the occupants and nearby pedestrians. The incident occurred around 2 PM near the Central Bank in Dudhnoi, according to eyewitnesses.
The vehicle, having registration no. AS 02M 6557, was reportedly carrying two individuals who had travelled from Chokpot in South Garo Hills to Dudhnoi to purchase a Scooty.
The cause of the fire is not yet officially confirmed, but the vehicle owner believes it may have been due to a short circuit in the warning system.
Fortunately, both occupants managed to escape the vehicle unharmed, and there were no casualties reported.
