Guwahati, Feb 10: Veteran Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty has been admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata after fell ill during the shooting of Shastri on Saturday.
He was admitted to a private hospital near EM bypass around 9 am on Saturday in critical condition.
Sources said the veteran actor suffered a severe chest pain during the shooting and almost fell down on the floor.
According to the hospital sources, he was in a somewhat depressed state. An MRI was done to look at his physical condition. His report is yet to come.
Mithun is admitted under neuromedicine specialist Dr. Sanjay Bhowmik in the hospital’s ITU in bed number 128 of the ICU ward.
The 73-year-old veteran actor has been undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Mithun has been rushed to the hospital in his own car accompanied by his co-actor Soham Chakraborty.
According to sources, the actor’s body part has become very weak.
He is currently busy with the shooting of the film ‘Shastri’. In this film, Mithun and Debashree will be caught in one frame after many years.
