Tura, Sept 15: Few villages in East Garo Hills will be without electricity on Saturday due to maintenance works by MePDCL.

In a public notice, the Meghalaya Power Distribution Corporation Limited (MePDCL) has stated that there would be no electricity in Rongjeng, Darugre, Songsak and its adjoining areas from 9 AM to 5 PM on September 16, 2023, as the 33 KV Rongjeng and Songsak line will be put under shut down for urgent line maintenance work and jungle cutting.

However, the corporation has assured that every effort will be made to restore the power supply at the earliest.
