West Garo Hills to get 7 hours load shedding with longer night cuts

Tura, May 4: West Garo Hills has been given a new seven hours schedule of load shedding that will begin from May 5th until further orders in which changes to the shutdowns have been made, curtailing day cuts but extending shutdowns during the night hours.

West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Jagdish Chelani gave an update issued by the power department in which the 7 hours of load shedding will be spread out.

Night load shedding will now be from 11 PM to 2 AM, instead of the earlier 11 PM to 1 AM.
Likewise, load shedding hours have been curtailed during the evening hours to just one hour, instead of the previous three hour shutdown.

The new timing is for power cut from 3 PM to 4 PM in the afternoon.

Updated load shedding schedule for WGH w.e.f 00:00 hrs 5th May, 2023 till further notice:

11 PM – 02 AM
04 AM – 07 AM
03 PM – 04 PM
