Tura, Oct 9: William Nagar Eastern Zone Garo Students Union (GSU) held a meeting regarding the upcoming general election for the GSU at Orchid House, William Nagar East Garo Hills.
Reportedly, the meeting was conducted by Semion Sangma, Former president of William Nagar GSU.
As per the report, GSU’s former president, Semion Sangma, said that the election commission should observe before the election to finalise the strategy for ensuring a smooth and fair election process, with a focus on implementing the model code effectively and preventing the influence of money and muscle power.
After a few days, we heard a number of comments from our senior GSU’s leaders in William Nagar that the present situation of GSU in William Nagar resembles or is likely to bring dirty games from outside to William Nagar. We should bravely and fiercely bring clean ideas to the next generation and contribute the best foot prints to the upcoming youngsters, he added.
He also said that the Eastern Zone William Nagar GSU is fully prepared to conduct the William Nagar Eastern Zone GSU general election, and the date of the poll will soon be announced to the general public.
