Shillong, Nov 13: In an unfortunate incident on Monday evening, a woman died after sustaining severe injuries after being struck by a speeding bike while attempting to cross the road at Mawlai Mawdatbaki Umjan.

The incident occurred at around 6 pm.

Witnesses reported that the bike, bearing registration number ML-05-AA-6505, was over-speeding when it collided with the pedestrian woman, leaving her lying in a pool of blood on the street.

Nearby residents and the police personnel rushed the injured pedestrian to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. However, she succumbed to her injuries.
