Tura, Jan 31: More and more Covid cases are being detected and there have been three deaths in the last ten days in West Garo Hills.

The latest is a 68 year old woman in Tura suffering from comorbid complications. she was admitted to Tura civil hospital for treatment but died on Sunday.

Two days earlier, a middle aged man suffering from liver disease and covid positive died at Tura civil hospital while undergoing treatment.

Suffering from covid and hailing from nakham bazaar area of Tura passed away while undergoing treatment at the same civil hospital.

The first victim from the disease to die this year was a cancer patient who tested positive and passed away, the previous week.

Doctors are also suffering and five doctors from Tura civil hospital tested positive for covid and have been put in quarantine.

Among the covid positive doctors include a lady sonography specialist and a medicine specialist.
