Shillong, June 19: A free eye check-up camp was organized by JR Goinka Hospital, located in Shillong Cantonment area of the city, on Saturday on behalf of Shri Jain Shwetambar Terapanth Mahila Mandal.

In the camp, around 500 people turned up for the check-up, with 385 patients being from the cantonment area alone.

This camp was organized in collaboration with Bansara Eye Clinic, in which the doctors of the clinic did the eye-check up and diagnosed the registered patients. Free medicines were also distributed to the patients in the camp.
At the same time, 38 patients were called to the hospital for better treatment and operation.
