Tura, Jan 09: In a significant milestone, the eagerly awaited 5th edition of Meghalaya Games is poised to make history as it inaugurates in Tura on January 15th. This marks the first occasion that Meghalaya Games, a prominent sporting event in the region, will be hosted in the scenic locale of Tura, situated in the West Garo Hills district.

Tura, known for its rich cultural and natural heritage, adds an extra layer of significance to the event, offering a unique backdrop for the Meghalaya Games.

Also, this inaugural in Tura signifies a departure from the tradition of hosting Meghalaya Games in Shillong, marking a strategic expansion of the event to different regions of the state.
