6 Nigerians wanted in Mumbai murder case apprehended from Ri-Bhoi

Shillong, May 7: Six murder-accused Nigerian nationals were apprehended in Ri Bhoi district on Friday afternoon. The Nigerian Nationals after committing the offence at Mumbai were intending to flee India to Bangladesh through Dawki India, sources informed.

On the request made by Mumbai police, an operation was launched by the Meghalaya police who managed to apprehend the Nigerian nationals at Lad Umsaw, Ri Bhoi while they were travelling on tourist sumo ML 10 B 9779, they said.

They have been identified as Eze Christopher Obasi (43), Ahukanna Chinonso (46), Obi Francis Osita (36), Okoro Kelvin Chidozie (29), Emmanuel Agbeyi (37) and Osagiede Godstime (38).

The six Nigerian Nationals are wanted in connection with Waliv Police Station CR Case Number 481/2022 under sections 302/364/201/323/143/147/149 Indian Penal Code.
