Imphal, June 22: Assam Rifles in a joint operation with Manipur Police (Commando) recovered Mortar HE Bomb from General Area Mongjam Foothills, Imphal East.
The Assam Rifiles said that they recovered X 51MM Mortar HE Bomb in the state.
The pictures were of the recovered Mortar HE Bomb was also shared on the official twitter handle.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has called an the all-party meeting on Saturday (June 24) at 3 PM in New Delhi to discuss the situation of violence hit state.
On Wednesday, three people was severely wounded in an IED explosion. Reports said that the bomb was brought in an SUV and was planted near the culvert.
Also, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi Wednesday in a video message made an emotional appeal for peace in Manipur, she said the unprecedented violence in the state has left a “deep wound” in the conscience of the nation.
Congress and several other opposition parties has been attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his silence over Manipur violence in the BJP-ruled state.
Earlier, leaders of opposition parties of Manipur visited Delhi to meet the Prime Minister, but claimed they could not meet him before he left for the US.
In a memorandum to the Prime Minister, the opposition leaders alleged that Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh was the architect of the ethnic violence that has hampered the peace of the state.
At least nine people were killed on June 13 in a clash between the attackers and villagers in Aigejang village in Kangpokpi district.
In Manipur violence, so far more than 100 people have lost their lives.
