Tura, July 23: BJP leader Bernard N Marak alias Rimpu’s farm house that was raided by Tura police last night and well into the morning hours has led to shocking revelations about nefarious activities taking place inside that premises including sexual crimes with police recovering a huge consignment of around 500 unused contraceptives (condoms) besides crossbow weapon and daggers.
The first case indicating the nefarious activities taking place began with the FIR lodged on 28th February 2022 by a family that their minor daughter was missing from home for a week and after tracing her out found that she had been sexually assaulted.
The victim told a court in Tura how she was taken to the farmhouse by a man and one of his friends where she was repeatedly raped multiple times during the course of the week before she was traced by her family and brought back. A case was registered in connection with this incident by women police.
From that case police began a long drawn out investigation which ultimately resulted in last night’s raid and the seizure of hundreds of alcohol drinks, vehicles, condoms, daggers and arrest of 68 revellers, including 26 girls.
