Guwahati, April 19: BJP candidate from Guwahati parliamentary constituency Bijuli Kalita Medhi submitted her nomination papers before the Kamrup district commissioner after a mega roadshow on Friday.

Thousands of BJP supporters and party leaders along with the alliance leaders participated in the road show.

Prior to the roadshow, BJP supporters gathered in large numbers at Khanapara Veterinary field and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma welcomed Bijuli Kalita Medhi.

Speaking to the media after completing the nomination formalities, Bijuli Kalita Medhi expressed her gratitude for the support received from various quarters, she said that she “filed the nomination with blessings of everyone, specially with the blessings of the Chief Minister, and State President Bhavesh Kalita”.

She affirmed confidence in securing victory, citing the unwavering support of the people towards the BJP.

Bijuli Kalita Medhi further added that, “I will serve the constituency of Guwahati with dedication and diligence”.
