Shillong, June 17: BJP National Council Member Bashailang Khongwir and BJP national vice president and Meghalaya In-charge Dr Chuba Ao on Friday called on Union Cabinet Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda for his intervention to ensure the speedy implementation of the many Eklavya Model Schools which have been sanctioned for Meghalaya but are yet to kick off.

Organizing a national tribal festival with education of children & youth as a theme were also discussed besides other matters.

Later, the duo also called upon Union Minister of State for Finance Dr Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad and stressed on the financial situation of the state besides setting up of more land export points in the state.

Both the union ministers were very positive and assured of affirmative action, a statement from BJP said.
