BSF hands over 2 Bangladeshi nationals to BGB

Shillong, Nov 22: Exhibiting goodwill gesture, Border Security Force (BSF), Meghalaya Frontier, handed over two Bangladeshi nationals to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), who had come to international border for sightseeing and inadvertently entered into Indian territory in South Garo Hills district on November 20, 2021.

Both of them where immediately apprehended by Border Security Force (BSF).

They have been identified as Md Akhter Ujjaman (43), of Mukhtir Kasandi village under Chandpur district and Md Amirul Islam (18 yrs) of Raipur village under Netrakona district, Bangladesh.

Public Relation Officer of BSF, Meghalaya Frontier stated that BSF always adopts a humanitarian approach in cases of inadvertent crossing and minors. Both the Border guarding forces have developed an understanding on such subjects and these issues are amicably resolved to strengthen the existing relationship and to enhance mutual trust between both the neighbouring countries.
