Shillong, April 11 : The troops of the 172 Bn BSF Meghalaya intercepted a Civil Bus and seized huge quantity of Burmese betel nuts worth Rs. 12 lakh from Umkiang area of East Jaintia Hills on Monday.

The BSF arrested four persons including driver & Co-driver. The apprehended persons revealed that they were coming from Tripura and consignment was being taken to ISBT Guwahati.

Arrested persons and seized items were handed over to PS- Umkiang for further legal action.
