Tura, Oct 17: The Deputy Commissioner of West Garo Hills, Tura, informed on Tuesday that a local holiday has been declared for October 25.
A local holiday has been declared on account of the 33rd death anniversary of the late Captain W. A. Sangma, the 1st Chief Minister of Meghalaya.
A holiday has been declared for all state government offices, magistrate courts, Revenue/ Educational Institutions in the West Garo Hills District.
The order read, “all the state government offices, Magisterial courts, Educational Institutions of West Garo Hills shall remain closed on October 25, 2023.”
