Shillong, June 24: Amid protests against the Agnipath Scheme, several Indian Army aspirants, on Friday staged a sit in demonstration in Shillong against the failure of the centre to conduct the Common Entrance Exam (CEE).

Several aspirants from different districts of the state once again came out to express their dissapointment for the exams pending since 2021 and their exams were repeatedly cancelled on the pretext of COVID-19.

However according to these aspirants, they were recently informed that their exams have been cancelled due to the implementation of Agnipath scheme. The aspirants earlier held a public rally after which they sat in demonstration in front of Shillong Civil Hospital.

The Indian Army aspirants in the state has warned the government that they intend to intensify their protest and next time even in large numbers.
