Imphal, Aug 8: Manipur BJP MLA RK Imo Singh said it was expected that the Kuki People’s Alliance (KPA) would withdraw support from the Biren Singh-led BJP government because they are demanding a separate administration.
“It was expected because they are demanding separate administration for Kuki people, and they have submitted a memorandum to Union Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the matter. It was virtually an announcement that they were not part of the government. It didn’t surprise us because it doesn’t affect the government. I want to request that the legislators, those who are demanding a separate administration, come to the assembly and discuss the issue” he said.
He further added, “All the 60 MLAs of Manipur should come together in the legislative assembly and discuss the issue. I urge the KPA legislators to come forward on the assembly floor for discussion”.
