Shillong, Dec 1: Former Home Minister RG Lyngdoh has been appointed as the adhoc president of Nongthymmai Block Congress Committee (BCC) following the recent switching over of the sitting legislator Charles Pyngrope to the All India Trinamool Congress (AITC).

This was informed by the Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) general secretary in-charge administration and former Rajya Sabha MP Wansuk Syiem in a notification issued on Tuesday.

She also informed that Edward Ryntathiang has been appointed as general secretary of Nongthymmai BCC with immediate effect while adding that the rest of the committee members remain unchanged.
