Conrad addresses multiple rallies in Manipur, lays stress on youth-centric policies of NPP

Imphal, Nov 23: Meghalaya Chief Minister and National People’s Party (NPP) national president Conrad K Sangma on Tuesday addressed multiple rallies in Manipur as part of the election campaign before the Manipur Assembly elections in 2022.

Addressing the rallies, Sangma stressed on the party’s belief in youth and that it’s policies are made keeping the young brigade in mind and the overall interest of the North East.


“NPP believes in empowering our youth. We as a political party have made commitment to provide better learning opportunities to our future generation…We lay our thrust in channelising the power of the youth to ensure that we as a society grow,” said the NPP chief.

He stated that NPP is a party that has kept the North East and its people especially the indigenous people as it’s priority. “NPP has another salient feature which is we believe in the youth. We keep policies important for the youth at the forefront” Sangma said while harping on the importance of education.

“Education is a very important subject for us… our party symbol itself is a ‘book’ because we believe that education is a very important issue for our youth. For the development of our youth, sports and other cultural aspects are also important and employment is also very important. That is why NPP is a party which works with special focus on the youth,” he asserted amidst loud cheering from the crowd.

The NPP chief addressed rallies at Khurai LA Constituency at Ima Chingjroubi Sanglen in Imphal where Laitonjom Jayananda Singh is the party candidate.

He also spoke at the interaction programme organised by intending candidate of Singjamei Assembly Constituency Sh. Romen Singh at Singjamei Thongam Leikai, Imphal.

He also addressed rally at Langthabal AC to seek support for NPP candidate Karam Nabakishor Singh along with party leaders from Manipur and Meghalaya.
