Tura, Oct 13: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Friday inspected the ongoing construction of track and field stadium in Tura.

He said that the construction will be completed for the field by mid December.

The Meghalaya Games 2024, scheduled to be held from January 15 to 20, 2024, will be held on this ground.

The Track and Field Stadium is being built at a cost of Rs. 16 cr. It will boost activities related to sports, and development of youth in the fields of sports and athletics.

CM Sangma had laid the foundation of the stadium on April 4, 2022.
