Shillong, April 19: Football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, 37, and his partner Georgina Rodriguez, 28, have announced the death of their newborn son. The Manchester United forward made the announcement through his Instagram account on Monday midnight.

Ronaldo and Rodriguez said they were devastated by the loss of their son but confirmed that their baby girl survived and is their strength to live through this moment.
Mentionably, in a social media post in October last year, the couple had revealed that they were expecting twins.
In Monday’s social media post, they said: “Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support. We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time. Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.”
Reacting to the post, Manchester United tweeted: “Your pain is our pain, Cristiano… Sending love and strength to you and the family at this time.”
