Shillong, Apr 1: The Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited (MeECL) has informed that the department is working round the clock to restore the power in the State.
In a statement issued, they said, “Due to the sudden increased inclement weather and heavy storm/winds, many trees have been uprooted throughout the state. As a result, many transformers and power lines have been severely damaged throughout the state, including Shillong. Our teams are working round the clock to restore the power as soon as possible”.
The department has deeply regretted the inconvenience caused to the customers.
