Tura, July 12: Former Congress MLA and ex-minister, Deborah Marak has come forward to provide a helping hand to doctors and patients of Williamnagar by donating a portable x-ray machine to be used in Williamnagar civil hospital.

“I noticed that there is a large number of patients in need of x-rays and wanted to extend a helping hand to the people,” said Deborah Marak as she handed over the machine which is worth a couple of lakhs.

The new machine will help give added support to an existing X-ray machine which is currently in use.

The former MLA also gifted an ECG machine to the same hospital which will provide immense help to patients, especially detection of heart problems.
