Tura, Oct 17: In a remarkable initiative aimed at nurturing the educational aspirations of the youth in West Garo Hills, the North Eastern Career Academy (Shillong) organised a free book distribution event at the ICFAI Tura Campus on Tuesday. The event was carried out as part of the Chief Minister’s Career Guidance Scheme of the Government of Meghalaya.
The book distribution programme is a comprehensive six-week training programme hosted at the ICFAI Tura Campus. This programme focuses on preparing young minds, especially aspirants, for competitive examinations, including those for banking, the SSC (Staff Selection Commission), the DSC (District Selection Committee), and other similar tests.
The ceremony was graced by officials from ICFAI and the Sports and Youth Affairs Department of West Garo Hills District.
Under the scheme, each student participating in the programme received four crucial books designed to equip them with essential knowledge and skills for competitive examinations. The book package included titles on quantitative aptitude, reasoning & logical aptitude, English for competitive examinations, and general Knowledge/Current Affairs.
