Ampati, June 15: In the context of the blended learning, with an aim to promote and endorse the theme of “Ensuring Foundation Literacy and Numeracy (FLN)”, Office of the District Mission Coordinator, Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), South West Garo Hills, Ampati, in line with the Ministry of Education, successfully organised a series of activities and programs under the banner of G20 Janbhagidari, at Multi Facility Centre, near Ampati Market on Thursday.
In a remarkable display of community engagement and collaboration, several schools across the district participated in the series of events organised throughout the week, which included wall painting, storytelling, Math Mela, TLM Exhibition and cultural events. The participants and winners of various events and activities were awarded certificates and prizes. The activities actively engaged the school students and teachers, local authority and organizations to foster unity and development.
The Janbhagidari events held over the past few days highlighted the importance of active citizen participation in shaping the future of South West Garo Hills (SWGH). Generating a sense of pride among various stakeholders such as students, teachers, parents and community as a whole, about G20, National Education Policy and FLN, these efforts, aimed at empowering the community, have yielded tangible results and set a strong foundation for future growth.
The G20 Janbhagidari event aimed to foster public participation and citizen engagement in the G20 process, bringing together key stakeholders from various sectors to discuss and contribute to the important global issues addressed by the G20 forum. The event provided an opportunity to the local community and school students to voice their opinions, share insights and display their talent during the Math and Science exhibition.
The event witnessed the presence of Additional Deputy Commissioner of South West Garo Hills, Y W Momin, District School Education Officer, T Ch Marak, Subdivisional School Education Officer, E Marak, teachers and students of schools across South West Garo Hills and also parents.
Addressing the gathering as the Chief Guest during the closing program, Y W Momin remembered her experiences as a school student, where learning facilities and teaching materials were not easily available to make the learning interesting. She also added that the students should maintain positive mindset for positive outcome.
