Shillong, May 31: The state government on Tuesday cancelled the meeting scheduled for Wednesday to discuss the reservation roster after NGOs from Garo Hills have demanded for a separate meeting.

“…I am directed to inform you that the meeting to discuss the matter relating to reservation roster scheduled to be held on the 31st May, 2023 at 11.30 AM in the Auditorium Hall, Yojana Bhavan, Meghalaya Secretariat has been cancelled since the NGOs from Garo Hills have demanded a separate meeting in Garo Hills,” Under Secretary in-charge Home (Political) J Lyngdoh said in a letter to the different stakeholders.
