Shillong, May 24: The government today decided to extend the provision essential kits to all COVID-19 patients undergoing home isolation.

The decision was taken during a review meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma this afternoon.

Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said, “We have decided that all patients undergoing home isolation will be provided with provision essential kits.”

“Therefore, we will again extend assistance from the government as was done last year,” he added.

Tynsong said that the decision was taken after seeing the hardship and problems faced by COVID-19 patients and their families undergoing home isolation.

He also informed that all deputy commissioners have been entrusted to effectively implement the decision taken by the state government.
