The president of HITO informed that from 50 number of students only 7 students are from Khasi and Jaintia, and that HITO wants a clarification of the criteria, the total numbers of seat as well as seat allotted for Garo, Khasi and Jaintia Category.
HITo also urged the State’s Education department to increase the number of application from 160, which is very limited.
Since there is only one Govt. College for B.Ed courses in the State, the CTE Rongkhon at Tura, Dkhar said that HITO wants the education department of the state to look after all procedures on the matter as per the norms with transparency.
