Tura, Jan 11: In the lead-up to the Meghalaya Games 2024 inauguration on January 15th, behind-the-scenes activities are gaining momentum.
The Ceremonies Department of the 5th Meghalaya Games 2024 brought a burst of energy to the P. A. Sangma Sports Complex, Dakopgre, by organising a dance flash mob with students from Tura Dance Academy at 2 pm.
The lively performance featured participants dancing to the beat of the Meghalaya Games theme song, accompanied by the official mascot – a clouded leopard, the state animal of Meghalaya.
Also, similar flash mobs are scheduled to take place at various locations throughout Tura, ensuring that the spirit of the Games resonates across the city.
From organisers, athletes, to participants everyone is actively engaged in rigorous preparations and rehearsals to ensure a flawless and memorable event.
From coordinating ceremonies to fine-tuning performances, meticulous attention is being given to every detail.
The 5th session of the Meghalaya Games is making history by being hosted in Tura for the first time. This adds a special significance to the event as it marks a new chapter for the Meghalaya Games, bringing the spirit of sports and competition to a new venue.
The event is also grand as the President of India will be visiting Tura for the Meghalaya Games inauguration.
