Jowai, April 12: The Jaiñtia Coordination Committee for Reservation Policy (JCCRP), a conglomeration of Jaiñtia Hills NGOs, and the Synjuk Waheh Chnong Jowai and Synjuk ki Waheh Chnong Ri-Jaiñtia, on Wednesday held a meeting in Jowai to discuss on the implementation of the Roster System in the state.

During the meeting Jersom Shylla, the President of JSU, was elected as Chairman, Treiborlang Suchen, the General Secretary of JSU, as the Committee’ Vice Chairman, Sambormi Lyngdoh, the president of EJNC, as its Secretary, and two Joint Secretaries were elected- OL Tariang, President of JYF, and Roitre Dkhar.

After a thorough discussion it was decided to demand from the Government to implement the Roster System only from 2023.

The JCCRP also decided to meet again in the coming days.
