Shillong, Jan 14: A day after the BJP delegation met its party chief JP Nadda in Delhi and complaint about the alleged corruption against the Government, NPP leader and cabinet minister James K Sangma has asked the BJP to ensure its allegations are substantiated with evidence and hard facts.
This came a day after a delegation of the state BJP led by its president Ernest Mawrie met party national president JP Nadda in New Delhi requesting for his intervention into the alleged corruption in the two district councils and illegal mining and transport of coal in the state.
When sought for his comment, Sangma said, “I think everyone is well within their rights to allege or to make accusations it is a democratic country, everyone has a right to express themselves and if BJP wants to they can go and meet any leader in Govt of India and express their concerns, but the matter is that these also have to be substantiated with evidence and hard facts.”
“Now just saying for the sake of saying is something I feel is very irresponsible on the part of any leader and today we are working together as a coalition BJP is very much a part of the government and we have always made it very clear that anything which needs to be discussed or concerns need to be raised, can be raised on the right platform wherein we all come and sit together to discuss this,” he also added.
