Knowledge Sharing Workshop enlightens producer groups of West Garo Hills on IVCS operations and CMC marketing

Tura, May 10: The Knowledge Sharing Workshop held in Tura Dakopgre, organised by MeghaLAM District Project Management Unit, West Garo Hills in collaboration with Focus Prime, CLLMP, Meglife was a success.

The workshop aimed to share knowledge on IVCS operations, CMC marketing, and producer groups such as black pepper, cashew nuts, ginger, pineapple, piggery, turmeric, mustard, weaving, tea, vegetables, among others.

The workshop was graced by Sumit Kr. Shingh, Asst. Commissioner, West Garo Hills as the chief guest. V. Valentine, DPM MBDA/MBMA, delivered a welcome speech highlighting the importance of cooperatives, PGs activities, development, and initiatives.

The participants of the workshop comprised members from federations and producers from different blocks. They shared different stories, experiences and ideas to encourage a fruitful learning experience from each other.

V. Valentine, DPM MBDA/MBMA, expressed his satisfaction with the success of the event. He said that it was an excellent opportunity to bring together various members from federations, producers from blocks, and entrepreneurs on one platform. The workshop will encourage commerce-oriented, producer group-oriented, and community-based initiatives in the state of Meghalaya, particularly in the District of West Garo Hills.

Overall, the Knowledge Sharing Workshop was a fruitful event that brought together various stakeholders to learn and share their experiences, stories, and ideas for the betterment of the state’s economy.
