New Delhi, Dec 29: The Income Tax Department has issued a stern warning to taxpayers who missed the July 31 deadline to file their Income Tax Returns (ITRs) for the financial year 2022-23.

Through a post on the social media platform X, the department emphasised that these taxpayers must complete the filing process by December 31, 2023. This serves as the ‘last chance’ for individuals to submit their belated or revised ITR for the specified financial year.
