Imphal, Sept 3: Three civilians were injured in attack using drones at Senjam Chirang Maning Leikai in Manipur’s Imphal West district by suspected Kuki militant.

According to sources, tensions escalated in Imphal East early on Monday after suspected Kuki militants attacked the 8th India Reserve Battalion (IRB) post at a hilltop at Sinam Kom village.

During the attack, the militants allegedly used drone bombings, and mortars followed by heavy firing before leaving the area with three automatic weapons from the post.

Sources indicated that NIA will probe Sunday attack where two persons died and atleast 10 other were injured in Koutruk village of Imphal West bordering Kangpokpi district.
