Imphal, April 29: Manipur police have arrested Inaocha Khaidem for allegedly torturing his wife.

The arrest followed the filing of a First Information Report (FIR) on domestic violence at the women’s police station in Churachandpur district. The FIR alleges that Khaidem, along with his family members, brutally tortured his 21-year-old wife Nengneihoi. She is currently receiving medical treatment at the Churachandpur district hospital.

The lady hails from the Tangjing area of Bishnupur district and is residing in New Checkon, Imphal.
